Who am I?..

I’ve always been more interested in building systems than chasing titles.

Kommon Thread Kollective didn’t begin as a grand plan. It grew from work. Real work. Photography sessions. Organized spaces. Backyard gatherings. Conversations with small business owners. Stories that deserved to be preserved.

Over time, those projects stopped feeling separate. They shared the same foundation: craft, care, and community.

KTK became the structure that could hold them all.

I was born in California, where redwoods grow deep and wide before you ever see their height. I built my life in North Carolina, where growth is persistent, layered, and woven into the landscape. That combination shaped how I work: rooted, adaptive, steady.

Each venture under KTK serves a different purpose, but they are not disconnected:

Photography preserves stories.
Organization creates room for clarity.
Experiential gatherings build connection.
Documentary storytelling honors resilience.
Narrative worlds explore what lasts.

Different expressions. Same foundation.

I don’t build projects for momentum. I build frameworks meant to endure.

KTK exists to create meaningful work that strengthens community, invites connection, and holds up over time.

One thread. Many roots.

Chelsea

Chelsea is the woman behind the lens.

She is all fire and a million questions.

She wants to know everything - not out of curiosity alone, but because she refuses to deliver anything halfway. If she’s photographing your family, she wants to know the dynamics. If she’s stepping into your story, she wants context. She studies light. Movement. Emotion. She asks until she understands.

It’s relentless in the best way.

She cares deeply about the people in front of her. Not performative care. Not surface-level friendliness. Real investment. She wants clients to walk away with work that feels honest and lasting - not staged or hollow.

She’s humble about her talent, almost to a fault. But the standard she holds for herself is high. Very high.

She also has no filter.

What she’s thinking, she’ll probably say. And that’s where the laughter lives. The candid moments. The ease people feel when the room stops trying so hard. The humor captured in sessions isn’t manufactured - it’s a byproduct of who she is.

Chelsea doesn’t just take photos. She brings energy into the room. She pushes for better. She notices details others miss. And she will absolutely ask you one more question before she presses the shutter.

Fire, focus, and follow-through.

That’s the lens you’re standing in front of.

“We are not here to chase moments. We are here to build what outlasts them.”
